SIRT6 Food and supplement guide

SIRT6 is one of seven known sirtuins—a family of proteins involved in regulating aging, DNA repair, metabolism, and inflammation.

Among them, SIRT6 is particularly notable for its role in maintaining genomic stability and promoting longevity. It functions as a histone deacetylase, helping to regulate gene expression, repair DNA damage, and control metabolic pathways related to glucose and fat metabolism.

Research has shown that increased SIRT6 activity is associated with longer lifespan in mammals, improved insulin sensitivity, and protection against age-related diseases such as cancer and neurodegeneration.

Because of its powerful anti-aging and healthspan-extending potential, SIRT6 is a growing focus in longevity science and nutritional research.
